     Sarah Thomas was born in 1838 at Waterloo Township, Fayette County, Indiana. She was the daughter of William Henry Thomas and Mariah E. Sutcliffe.

     William Henry Thomas was born about 1802 at Kentucky. He married Mariah E. Sutcliffe, daughter of John Sutcliffe and Mary Lomax, on Sunday, October 8, 1837 at Fayette County, Indiana, .^1,2

     William S. Thomas was born about 1865 at Iowa.¹ He was the son of Francis Marion Thomas and Harriette A. Crumpet.¹

     Ada N. Thrasher was born on January 20, 1875 at Indiana. She was the daughter of John P. Thrasher and Rebecca Lou Walker. Ada N. Thrasher married, at age 22, Miles H. Daubenspeck, age 26, son of Harvey Daubenspeck, on Wednesday, November 24, 1897 at Fayette County, Indiana, . Ada N. Thrasher died in February, 1975 at New Jersey at age 100.

     Dr. Allen Benton Thrasher was born on July 6, 1851 at Fayette County, Indiana. He was the son of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. Dr. Allen Benton Thrasher was educated before 1880 at Butler Academy and Fairview Academy.¹ He was graduated in 1881 at Medical College of Ohio: Cincinnati Medical College, Cincinnati, Ohio.¹ He lived in 1910 at Cincinnati, Ohio. He died on July 3, 1927 at Cincinnati, Ohio, at age 75 of heart disease.

     Dr. Carroll Thrasher was born on August 9, 1876 at Milton, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Dr. Marion Thrasher and Sarah Murray.¹ Dr. Carroll Thrasher died on February 10, 1911 at San Francisco, California, at age 34 He never married.¹

     Cora Thrasher was born in 1863 at Indiana. She was the daughter of William Merritt Thrasher and Denia Thayer.

     Elizabeth Thrasher was born in 1836 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. Elizabeth Thrasher married James P. Orr, age 24 on Sunday, November 11, 1855 at Fayette County, Indiana, .¹ Elizabeth Thrasher died in 1884 at Cincinnati, Ohio, Typhoid Fever.

     George W. Thrasher was born on February 22, 1867 at Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of John P. Thrasher and Rebecca Lou Walker. George W. Thrasher married, at age 33, Margaret (surname unknown), age 31 on Wednesday, January 16, 1901 at Anderson, Madison County, Indiana, .^3,4,5 George W. Thrasher worked before March 10, 1933 as a clerk for the Santa Fe R.R. at Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.¹ He died on March 10, 1933 at Phoenix, Arizona, at age 66.^1,2 He was buried on March 13, 1933 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Arizona.^1,2

     Harriet Thrasher was born in 1844 at Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. Harriet Thrasher married Dr. John Samuel Bell, age 28 on Tuesday, October 15, 1867 .² Harriet Thrasher died in 1874 at the birth of her second child.³

     John P. Thrasher was born on November 23, 1838 at Fairview, Fayette County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. John P. Thrasher worked in 1860 as a lawyer at Fairview, Fayette County, Indiana. He began military service on April 23, 1861 as a Private in Company "E" of the 16th Indiana Infantry Regiment. He married, at age 23, Rebecca Lou Walker, age 22, daughter of Robert Walker and Elizabeth Beesley, on Thursday, September 11, 1862 at Cincinnati, Ohio, .¹ John P. Thrasher died on March 9, 1906 at Fairview, Fayette County, Indiana, at age 67.¹ He was buried on March 12, 1906 at Cincinnati, Ohio.¹

Sixteenth Infantry. Cols., Pleasant A. Hackleman, Thomas J. Lucas, Robert Conover, Lieut.-Cols., Thomas J. Lucas, Joel Wolfe, John M. Orr, James H. Redfield, Robert Conover, James M. Hildreth, James R. S. Cox.

This regiment was organized for state service at Richmond in May, 1861, for a one-year term, but when the news was received of the Bull Run disaster, it was offered to and accepted by the general government. It was mustered in July 23, and left the state the same day, being the first regiment to pass through Baltimore after the firing upon the 6th Mass. in April.

It was assigned to Banks' army and stationed in Pleasant Valley. It was attached to Abercrombie's brigade and in August moved to Hyattstown. It left there for Ball's Bluff on
Oct. 20, reaching there the following morning and went into line of battle, taking part in the engagement that followed, and was detailed to cover the retreat on the 22nd being the last to cross the river.

On Dec. 2 it moved to Frederick City then to Harper's Ferry, and later to Winchester. It built a bridge across the Shenandoah at Snicker's ferry, and was in various movements
until Warrenton was reached in April, 1862. Col. Hackleman was commissioned a brigadier-general on April 30.

The regiment was mustered out at Washington May 14, 1862, but was reorganized as a three-years regiment during the summer and left the state for Kentucky to aid in repelling the invasion of Kirby Smith's forces.

     Dr. Marion Thrasher was born on March 13, 1842 at Fayette County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. Dr. Marion Thrasher married, at age 22, Sarah Murray, daughter of James Murray, on Tuesday, May 3, 1864 at Fayette County, Indiana, .² Dr. Marion Thrasher worked in 1900 as a Physician at San Francisco, California. He died on April 4, 1926 at Palo Alto, California, at age 84. Resided in Cincinnati, OH and San Francisco, CA.

     Olive C. Thrasher was born in 1856 at Fayette County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. Olive C. Thrasher married William Marshall Blacklidge, age 36 on Wednesday, November 24, 1880 at Fayette County, Indiana, . Olive C. Thrasher died in 1914 at Rush County, Indiana.¹

     Sallie Thrasher was born in 1866 at Indiana. She was the daughter of William Merritt Thrasher and Denia Thayer.

     Sarah J. Thrasher was born on March 16, 1849 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. Sarah J. Thrasher was educated at Lebanon College at Ohio.¹ She married, at age 25, Augustus W. Vandeman, age 28 on Tuesday, June 9, 1874 at Fayette County, Indiana, .² Sarah J. Thrasher worked in 1880 as a music teacher at Wahoo City, Nebraska. She worked in 1900 as a dressmaker at Denver, Colorado.³

     Wade Thrasher was born in 1873 at Indiana. He was the son of William Merritt Thrasher and Denia Thayer.

     William Merritt Thrasher was born on July 26, 1833 at Fairview, Fayette County, Indiana. He was the son of Woodson Walker Thrasher and Barbara Daubenspeck. William Merritt Thrasher worked in 1860 as a teacher at Fairview, Fayette County, Indiana. He married, at age 29, Denia Thayer on Tuesday, December 30, 1862 at Shelby County, Indiana, . William Merritt Thrasher worked before 1900 as a Professor at Butler University. He held the chairs of Mathematics and Astronomy.¹ He died on April 16, 1900 at Berkeley, California, at age 66 of heart disease.² He was buried on April 24, 1900 at Plot: Sec: 38, Lot: 220, Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.³

     Woodson Walker Thrasher was born on February 4, 1812 at Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky. He married, at age 20, Barbara Daubenspeck, age 21, daughter of Phillip Daubenspeck and Barbara Smelser, on Wednesday, May 23, 1832 at Rush County, Indiana, .¹ Woodson Walker Thrasher died on January 31, 1888 at Fayette County, Indiana, at age 75. He was buried about February 1, 1888 at Fairview Cemetery, Rush County, Indiana.

He was a farmer and a stockman. The 1860 census lists the value of his real estate as $16,000.00.

     Catherine Timmons was born on February 14, 1820 at Maryland.^1,3,4 She was the daughter of Stephen Timmons and Lavina Littleton.² Catherine Timmons married John King before 1853 .¹ Catherine Timmons died on August 23, 1904 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 84.⁴ She was buried on August 24, 1904 at Keyes Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.⁴

     Stephen Timmons was born about 1777 at Maryland.¹ He married Lavina Littleton about 1805 at Maryland .¹

     Anna Eliza Tomlinson was born on September 2, 1866 at Mcnatts, Wells County, Indiana.^1,2 She was the daughter of Lewis H. Tomlinson and Nancy Rouse. Anna Eliza Tomlinson married, at age 15, Joseph William Daubenspeck, age 24, son of John Daubenspeck and Julia Anne Sutcliffe, on Friday, December 23, 1881 at Indiana . Anna Eliza Tomlinson died on July 14, 1925 at Washington Twp., Miami County, Indiana, at age 58.^1,2 She was buried on July 16, 1925 at Rankin Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.¹

     Charles E. Totten was born on January 30, 1900 at Jay County, Indiana. He was the son of Maurice A. Totten and Jeanette Ella Robinson.

     Dorothy Totten was born in January, 1908 at Portland, Jay County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Maurice A. Totten and Jeanette Ella Robinson.

     Iris A. Totten is the daughter of Maurice A. Totten and Jeanette Ella Robinson.

     Mary Totten was born on October 24, 1903 at Jay County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Maurice A. Totten and Jeanette Ella Robinson.

     Maurice A. Totten was born about 1876 at Indiana.^1,2 He married Jeanette Ella Robinson, age 19, daughter of Isaac H. Robinson and Catherine Hahn, on Saturday, May 7, 1898 at Portland, Jay County, Indiana, .^3,1 Maurice A. Totten died on August 28, 1925 at Kalamazoo, Michigan.⁴ He was buried on August 31, 1925 at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Michigan.⁵
