Kenneth Edwards Hartleroad, 90, Peru, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at 6:15 a.m. at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Peru.
Hartleroad, who owned the K. E. Hartleroad Company (Home Furnishing Store), lived on his farm near Denver for 58 years.
He was born Feb. 11, 1914 in Miami County to Fred and Mary (Edwards) Hartleroad.
Hartleroad married Velma I. Ellis on Sept. 26, 1934.
He was a member of the Peru Church of the Brethren, and a long time member of the Peru Lions Club. At one time he traveled to Japan to attend the Lions Club International convention, and he also enjoyed oil painting and gardening.
Hartleroad is survived by son, Larry Hartleroad, Peru; daughter, Sandra Conklin and husband Ronald, Peru; four grandchildren, Tiffany Pope, Laura Hartleroad, Daniel Hartleroad, and Gean-Paul Hartleroad; two brothers, Robert Hartleroad, Peru, and John Hartleroad, Logansport, and one sister, Opal Mills, Frankfort; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Peru Church of the Brethren Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marvin Schwartz officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.

     Oliver Stenson was born on March 8, 1914 at New Mexico. He was the son of Charles Marcellus Stenson and Willie Vaden Cochran. Oliver Stenson died in August, 1970 at New Mexico at age 56.

     Nellie Lorene (?) was born on March 15, 1914. Thereafter her married name was Charters. She married David Wilton Charters, son of David Wilton Charters and Esther Amelia Winquist, before 1992 . Nellie Lorene (?) died on December 19, 1992 at Lane County, Oregon, at age 78.

     Philip Earl Gerhart was born on April 9, 1914 at Indiana.¹ He was the son of George Milton Gerhart and Myrtle Dell Duck. Philip Earl Gerhart served in the military on May 22, 1943 at Los Angeles, California, as a private in the Army.²

He died on October 6, 1996 at Garden Grove, Orange County, California, at age 82.^1,3

     Helen Dorothy Weisenberger was born on June 11, 1914 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Edgar Lewis Weisenberger and Ruby Estella Kerns. Helen Dorothy Weisenberger died on October 18, 1919 at Indiana at age 5.

"Mrs. Ross McHenry received a telegram Sunday morning telling the sad news of the death of little Miss Helen Weisenberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weisenberger, of Detroit, Mich., whose death occurred on Saturday evening, October 18th. The little one was five years of age. The telegram stated that the funeral services would be held on Tuesday of this week. Mrs. Weisenberger was formerly Miss Ruby Kearns, of Denver, and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Kearns, who now live in Detroit."¹

     Miriam H. Zuleger married William J. Moules, son of Albert Moules and Amanda Pearl Firsdon, . Miriam H. Zuleger was born on December 26, 1914 at Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Waldemar C. Zuleger and Helene A. LeBuda. Miriam H. Zuleger died on December 2, 2004 at Toledo, Ohio, at age 89.

Miriam Moules, of Sylvania, OH, died Tuesday, December 2, 2004, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, at the age of 89. She was born in Toledo to Walter and Helen Zuleger on December 26, 1914.
Her parents and husband, William Moules preceded her in death. Surviving is her sister, Naomi (Roy) Allemeier of Bloomfield Hills, MI; nieces and nephews and special friends, Judy and David Bagrowski.
Friends may call at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary 3815 Sylvania Ave. (between Monroe St. and Talmadge Rd.) Monday after 12:30 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park.      Earl Bucher was born on January 5, 1915 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Elmer Harvey Bucher and Laura E. Daubenspeck. Earl Bucher died on March 4, 1982 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 67.

      Thereafter her married name was Harford. Jewel Gwendolyn Cox married Richard J. Harford . Jewel Gwendolyn Cox was born on May 19, 1915 at Medaryville, Pulaski County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Gilbert Harvey Cox and Julia Pearl Endsley. Jewel Gwendolyn Cox died on June 13, 1962 at Auburn, New York, at age 47.

     Carl H. Bucher was born on October 14, 1915 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Elmer Harvey Bucher and Laura E. Daubenspeck. Carl H. Bucher died on August 20, 1995 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 79.

     Leone F. Anderson was born circa 1916 at Minnesota.¹ She was the daughter of John Elmer Anderson and Matilda Tait.¹ Leone F. Anderson died after 1930.¹

Robert G. Hahn, 89, Peru, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2005 at Century Villa Health Care
Center, Greentown.
He was born June 2, 1916 in Miami County to Frank R. and Ethel Overman Hahn. He married Miriam
"Betty" Haines on February 21, 1941 at Santa Fe United Methodist Church, and she survives.
Hahn was a longtime leader in Butler Township 4-H Club and a longtime member of the Butler Township
Advisory Board. He was a retired Miami County farmer and a 1934 Butler Township High School
graduate. He was also a member of Santa Fe United Methodist Church.
Survivors other than his wife include two sons, Frank Robert Hahn, Evansville, and Boyd Hahn and wife
Cathy, Peru; one daughter, Jo Ann Hahn, Carefree, Ariz; and three grandchildren, Robert N. Hahn, Peru,
Karen Hahn, Bloomington, and Daniel Robert Merker, Overland Park, Kan. He was preceded in death by
his parents; two brothers, Verl Hahn and Kenneth Hahn; and two sisters, Verna Blackman and Lois Stites.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, with Rev. Thomas Daugherty
officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A testament to the respect in which he was held by his family is the fact that the first born son in each

Pauline Naomi Robinson was born on September 24, 1916 at Jay County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Oliver Lyman Robinson and Sarah Elizabeth Franks. Pauline Naomi Robinson died on September 7, 1998 at Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana, at age 81.

     George E. Vandeman was born on October 21, 1916 at Colorado. He was the son of Herbert Allen Vandeman and Nina M. Roys. George E. Vandeman died on November 3, 2000 at Guilford County, North Carolina, at age 84.

     Gerald Finster died in 1917. He was born in 1917. He was the son of Clarence L. Finster and Martha Ellen Hahn.

     John W. Bucher was born on April 6, 1917 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Elmer Harvey Bucher and Laura E. Daubenspeck. John W. Bucher died on March 5, 1997 at Glendale, California, at age 79.

     Robert Edward Vogler was born on June 24, 1917 at Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. He was the son of Frederick Jacob Vogler and Marie Emma LeBuda. Robert Edward Vogler was confirmed on March 20, 1932 at St. Paul's Lutheran, Toledo, Ohio. He married, at age 19, Adeline Lucille Hawley, age 18 on Saturday, May 29, 1937 . Robert Edward Vogler served in the military between 1942 and 1945 in the U.S. Army. He was sent to New Guinea. After 1945 Robert Edward Vogler worked as an architech. He died on August 19, 1965 at Los Angeles, California, at age 48 of a heart attack after saving a runaway car. He was buried after August 19, 1965 at Bellevue Cemetery, Ontario, California.

      Miriam I. Haines was also known as (?). She was born on July 7, 1917. Thereafter her married name was Hahn. She married, at age 23, Robert G. Hahn, age 24, son of Frank R. Hahn and Ethel May Overman, on Friday, February 21, 1941 . Miriam I. Haines died on August 8, 2005 at Greentown, Howard County, Indiana, at age 88.

She was born on July 7, 1917 in Amboy to Harvey and Mary (Pearson) Haines, and married Robert G.
Hahn at the Santa Fe United Methodist Church on February 21, 1941. He preceded his wife in death on
June 6, 2005.
Hahn was a 1934 graduate of Amboy High School and was a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist
Church, and Santa Fe United Methodist Women.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Hahn is survived by two sons, Frank Robert Hahn, Evansville, and Boyd Hahn and wife Cathy, Peru; a
daughter, JoAnn Hahn, Carefree, Ariz; three grandchildren, Robert N. Hahn, Peru, Daniel Robert Merker,
Overland Park, Kan., and Karen Hahn, Bloomington; and three sisters, Grace Haines, Marion, Pauline
Flockencier, Marion, and Lucile Hodson, Rossville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, John Haines; and two sisters, Dorothy
Corwin and Margaret Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, with the Reverend Tom
Daugherty officiating. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m.
on Thursday at the funeral home.

     Carter Marcellus Stenson was born on August 14, 1917 at Nogal, New Mexico. He was the son of Charles Marcellus Stenson and Willie Vaden Cochran. Carter Marcellus Stenson married, at age 16, Rosemary Phelps, age 17 on Wednesday, June 6, 1934 . Carter Marcellus Stenson died in 1992 at Gallup, Mckinley County, New Mexico.

     Cecil Harvey Hahn was born on June 1, 1918. He was the son of Harvey Jacob Hahn and Edna Winifred Finster. Cecil Harvey Hahn died on February 3, 1999 at age 80.

     William C. Zuleger married Betty (?) . William C. Zuleger was born on September 26, 1918 at Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Waldemar C. Zuleger and Helene A. LeBuda. William C. Zuleger died on January 11, 1996 at Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, at age 77.

Adeline Lucille Hawley died on September 1, 1999 at Pomona, California, at age 80. She was buried on September 3, 1999 at Green Acres Memorial Park, Fontana, California.

     Donald Keith Hahn was born on March 28, 1919 at North Grove, Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Clena Hahn and Viola Endsley. Donald Keith Hahn served in the military beginning in June, 1944 in the 2nd division of the Marine Corps. His specialty was musician/rifleman. He participated in the invasion of Okinawa in April, 1945. He ended military service as a sergeant in June, 1946. He married Dorothy Osborne in 1948 . Donald Keith Hahn died on March 2, 2007 at Long Beach, California, at age 87 . He is buried at the National Cemetery at Riverside, California.

     Louis J. Kolb was born in 1920. He was the son of Louis J. Kolb and Agnes M.. Louis J. Kolb died on October 17, 2002 at Dresden, Muskingum County, Ohio.

     Kent Lemoyne Hahn was born on April 7, 1920. He was the son of Tressie S. Hahn and Mae A. Curry. Kent Lemoyne Hahn married Sue Fiedler after 1938 . Kent Lemoyne Hahn served in the U.S Army Air Corps beginning on November 4, 1942 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Indiana.¹ He died on September 30, 2005 at Indiana at age 85.

Kent L. Hahn 85 of Westfield, passed away Friday, September 30 at St. Vincent Hospital. Kent was born April 7, 1920 in North Grove, IN to the late Tressie & Mae Curry Hahn. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and a 1949 graduate of Purdue University. Kent was an engineer at Allison's Division of General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1982.
