     Ada Marie Ramer was born in July, 1896 at Miami County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Stephen Douglas Ramer and Emma Hartleroad. Ada Marie Ramer married, at age 35, Ernest M. Earhart on Tuesday, January 12, 1932 at Berrien County, Michigan, .^1,2

     Adam Ramer was born on April 1, 1829 at Tuscarawas County, Ohio. He was the son of James Ramer and Catherine Moore. Adam Ramer married, at age 20, Hannah York, daughter of Nathaniel York and Elizabeth Bishop, on Friday, March 29, 1850 .



ADAM RAMER, a prominent farmer of Butler Township, is a native of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, where he was
born April 1, 1829, being the eldest of eight children born to James and Catharine (Moore) Ramer. They moved,
when our subject was quite young, to Coshocton where he was reared until he was seventeen years of age,
which was in 1845, when the family emigrated to Williams County, Ohio, where they stopped for the winter,
coming to Miami County the following spring, settling in Butler Township, where they remained until 1861 or
1862, when they moved to Whitley County. After a residence there of a few years they returned to Miami County
and located in Perry Township, where Mrs. Ramer died. After her death he lived for a time again in Butler
Township, after which he removed to Pulaski County where he died March, 1885. In early life Mr. Ramer
received a limited education in consequence of the poor facilities of those days. March 29, 1850, his marriage
with Hannah (York) Shortridge was solemnized. By her former marriage Mrs. Ramer had one child, a daughter,
Laura, now Mrs. David Lemon. His occupation has always been farming, and he has been very successful. He
now owns 124 acres of well improved land which is the accumulation of his own industry and economy. He made
rails for 31 1/2 cents a hundred for the man that owned the farm of which he is now the proprietor. He and wife
are members of the Christian Church, of which he has been an Elder, and is now leader. In politics he is a
Republican.

     Adam J. Ramer was born on October 8, 1892 at Butler Twp., Miami county, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Adam J. Ramer married, at age 22, Della Kuhne, age 17 on Thursday, February 11, 1915 at Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Adam J. Ramer began military service in 1917 as a Private in Company" B" of the 262nd Infantry in World War 1.² He died on April 10, 1956 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 63.²

     Beulah O. Ramer is the daughter of Charles Ethel Ramer and Sarah May Springer.

     Cecil Ramer was born in March, 1890 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Stephen Douglas Ramer and Emma Hartleroad. Cecil Ramer worked in 1910 as a cook.¹

     Charles Ethel Ramer was born on October 14, 1883. He was the son of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Charles Ethel Ramer married, at age 26, Sarah May Springer, age 22 on Thursday, February 17, 1910 at Miami County, Indiana, . Charles Ethel Ramer died on April 1, 1941 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 57. He was buried after April 1, 1941 at Peoria Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.

     Corine D. Ramer is the daughter of Charles Ethel Ramer and Sarah May Springer.

     Everett Orel Ramer was born on December 9, 1887 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Stephen Douglas Ramer and Emma Hartleroad. Everett Orel Ramer married Alta Lee Martindale about April 3, 1914 at Fulton County, Indiana, .¹ Everett Orel Ramer lived in 1917 at Rochester, Indiana. He died on November 4, 1975 at Peru, Indiana, at age 87.² He was buried on November 7, 1975 at Santa Fe Cemetery, Santa Fe, Miami County, Indiana.² His ww1 draft registration states that he had a wife and one child.

     Frank David Ramer was born on February 25, 1887 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. His WW1 draft registration card states that he was single and was afflicted with Tuberculosis.

     George Ramer was born about 1837 at Ohio. He died in March, 1920 at Indiana.

     George R. Ramer was born on March 3, 1895 at Miami County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. George R. Ramer died on September 28, 1897 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 2.¹

     Gilbert L. Ramer was born on December 29, 1885 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Stephen Douglas Ramer and Emma Hartleroad. Gilbert L. Ramer worked in 1910 as a cook.¹

     Howard Ramer was born on August 8, 1899 at Butler Twp., Miami County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Howard Ramer married, at age 21, Lucy F. Glassburn, age 20 on Tuesday, November 23, 1920 at Miami County, Indiana, .² Howard Ramer died on September 18, 1935 at Santa Fe, Miami County, Indiana, at age 36.¹

     Ida Mae Ramer was born on September 26, 1890 at Butler Twp., Miami County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Ida Mae Ramer married, at age 21, Benjamin A. Harrison, age 20 on Wednesday, February 28, 1912 at Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Ida Mae Ramer married, at age 29, Clyde Eckelbarger, age 33 on Tuesday, October 14, 1919 at Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Ida Mae Ramer died on March 22, 1949 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 58.²

     Mahala Ramer was born on December 7, 1892 at Miami County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Douglas Ramer and Emma Hartleroad. Mahala Ramer died on April 6, 1963 at Marion, Grant County, Indiana, at age 70.¹ She was buried on April 9, 1963 at Santa Fe Cemetery, Santa Fe, Miami County, Indiana.¹ Death Certificate Gives her name as Melvada Ramer Whitehead.¹

     Maud Belle Ramer was born on March 2, 1885 at Miami County, Indiana.² She was the daughter of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Maud Belle Ramer married, at age 32, James T. keister, age 38 on Tuesday, February 12, 1918 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, .² Maud Belle Ramer died on July 24, 1959 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 74.¹

     Montana Ramer was born on October 25, 1896 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Montana Ramer married, at age 18, Eliza Jane Eckelbarger on Saturday, April 17, 1915 at Miami County, Indiana, . Montana Ramer lived in 1918 at Santa Fe, Miami County, Indiana. He worked in 1918 as a worker on the C&O RR at Peru, Miami County, Indiana. He died on May 28, 1962 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 65. He was buried on May 31, 1962 at Pleasant Grove Section, Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset, Wabash County, Indiana.

Montana Ramer, 65, Route 1 Peru died at Dukes Hospital at 9:02 p.m. Monday. he had been ill five years.

Mr. Ramer had spent most of his life in Miami County and was a former night wwatchman at the Peru Foundry.

he was born here oct, 25, 1896, the son of Taylor and Hannah (Hartleroad) Ramer. he was married in 1915 to
Eliza Jane Eckelbarger, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons and a daughter, Burnell, Dorice and Vermont Ramer, Peru and Mrs Robert
Fairchild, Wapakoneta O; two brothers, Frank D. Ramer, Route ? Amboy and Claude Ramer, Route 4 Peru; a
sister, Mrs Howard Hott, Peru; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Four brothers and two sisters are
deceased.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Drake-Flowers Chapel. The Rev. Avery W. Miley will
officiate and burial will be in the pleasant Grove Cemetery, Wabash County.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Wednesday.

     Pearl Ramer was born on January 4, 1889 at Miami County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Taylor Ramer and Hannah A. Hartleroad. Pearl Ramer married, at age 24, Howard Harold Hott, age 22 on Saturday, August 2, 1913 at Butler Twp., Miami County, Indiana, .² Pearl Ramer died on February 14, 1973 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 84.^3,1

     Stephen Douglas Ramer was born on April 8, 1867 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Harrison Ramer and Nancy Jennings.² Stephen Douglas Ramer married, at age 18, Emma Hartleroad, age 18, daughter of David Hartleroad and Laura J. York, on Sunday, August 23, 1885 at Miami County, Indiana, .³ Stephen Douglas Ramer died on February 18, 1945 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 77.² He was buried on February 20, 1945 at Santa Fe Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.²

     Taylor Ramer was born on November 21, 1861 at Miami County, Indiana.^3,1 He was the son of George Ramer and Susanah Ralston.^1,2 Taylor Ramer married, at age 21, Hannah A. Hartleroad, age 23, daughter of David Hartleroad and Laura J. York, on Thursday, February 8, 1883 at Miami County, Indiana, . Taylor Ramer died on September 30, 1921 at Butler Township, Miami County, Indiana, at age 59 Apoplexy.^2,3 He was buried on October 3, 1921 at Peoria Cemetery, Butler Township, Miami County, Indiana.

Taylor Ramer a prominent resident of Butler township, died of apoplexy Saturday evening. He was aged sixty-five years, and eight children survive him. The funeral services were held Monday and burial in the Peoria cemetery.⁴

     Adeline Ramsey was born about 1855 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Samuel Ramsey and Elizabeth Hahn.

     Albion Swimly Ramsey was born on December 28, 1862 at Indiana.¹ He was the son of Jeremiah Layton Ramsey and Anna Eliza Swimley.¹ Albion Swimly Ramsey died on May 5, 1933 at Indianapolis, Indiana, at age 70.¹

     Alfred Ramsey was born on October 27, 1853 at Miami County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Samuel Ramsey and Elizabeth Hahn. Alfred Ramsey worked in 1880 as a school teacher at Miami County, Indiana.² He married Amanda Jane Pitts in 1882 . Alfred Ramsey worked in 1903 as the County Commissioner at Miami County, Indiana. He died on February 21, 1936 at Washington Twp., Miami County, Indiana, at age 82.¹ He was buried on February 24, 1936 at Peoria Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.¹

     Amanda F. Ramsey was born about 1844 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Samuel Ramsey and Elizabeth Hahn.

     Anna Elizabeth Ramsey was born on February 22, 1898 at Miami County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Alfred Ramsey and Amanda Jane Pitts. Anna Elizabeth Ramsey died on April 29, 1990 at Kokomo, Indiana, at age 92.¹ Married name was Jackson in Kokomo.¹

     Bernice Ramsey is the daughter of Harry Ambrose Ramsey and Goldie Permela Woodward.
