     Maria Elizabeth Traut was born in 1707/8 at Germany. She married John George Loy, son of Johannes Ley, before 1734 . Maria Elizabeth Traut died about 1765 at Frederick County, Maryland.

     Charles L. Trost was born on April 12, 1884 at Ohio.^1,3 He was the son of Fred Trost and Louise Flint.¹ Charles L. Trost married, at age 22, Bertha Goralski, age 19, daughter of Gottfried Goralski and Augusta Hohenstein, on Wednesday, June 20, 1906 at Lucas County, Ohio, .¹ Charles L. Trost died on April 21, 1964 at Toledo, Ohio, at age 80.⁴

     Erna Trost was born on July 25, 1908 at Toledo, Ohio.^2,1 She was the daughter of Charles L. Trost and Bertha Goralski.¹ Erna Trost married, at age 24, Ross E. Miller, age 27 on Wednesday, May 17, 1933 at Lucas County, Ohio, .² Erna Trost died on April 17, 1982 at Maumee, Lucas County, Ohio, at age 73.³

     Fred Trost was born in May, 1857 at Germany.²

     Catharine Trotter was born on January 8, 1840 at Sangamon County, Illinois. She was the daughter of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck.

     Elizabeth Trotter was born on January 2, 1824 at Bourbon County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck.

     George Trotter was born on December 14, 1839 at Sangamon County, Illinois. He was the son of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck. George Trotter began military service on July 25, 1862 as a Private in Company "I" of the 114th Illinois Infantry Regiment

     James Kenney Trotter was born on February 19, 1799 at Bourbon County, Kentucky.¹ He married, at age 24, Mary Ann Daubenspeck, age 23, daughter of Phillip Daubenspeck and Barbara Smelser, on Saturday, March 22, 1823 at Bourbon County, Kentucky, .² James Kenney Trotter died on December 27, 1839 at Sangamon County, Illinois, at age 40.

     Jane Trotter was born on February 2, 1827 at Rush County, Indiana. She was the daughter of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck. Jane Trotter died on October 18, 1902 at Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois, at age 75.

     Julia A. Trotter was born on April 20, 1833 at Sangamon County, Illinois. She was the daughter of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck. Julia A. Trotter died in January, 1864 at Sangamon County, Illinois, at age 30.

     Mary Trotter was born on August 6, 1835 at Sangamon County, Illinois. She was the daughter of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck.

     Nancy Trotter was born on December 8, 1829 at Sangamon County, Illinois. She was the daughter of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck.

     William Trotter was born on March 15, 1825 at Bourbon County, Kentucky. He was the son of James Kenney Trotter and Mary Ann Daubenspeck. William Trotter began military service on July 25, 1862 as a Private in Company "I" of the 114th Illinois Infantry Regiment.
He died on March 17, 1863 at Memphis, Tennessee, at age 38, possibly from disease.

ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEENTH INFANTRY

One Hundred and Fourteenth Infantry. - Col., James W.
Judy; Lieut.-Cols., John F. King, Samuel N. Shoup; Majs.,
Joseph M. McLane, John M. Johnson. This regiment was organized
in the months of July and August and was mustered into the U.S.
service at Camp Butler on Sept. 18, 1862. Cos. A and D were
from Cass county, B, C, E, G, H and I from Sangamon county, and
Cos. F and K from Menard county. The regiment left Camp Butler
for Memphis, Tenn., Nov. 8, arrived on the 16th, and remained
there about 10 days on picket duty. On May 2, 1863, it joined
in the movement to the rear of Vicksburg; was engaged in the
battle of Jackson, losing 5 men killed and wounded; arrived in
the rear of Vicksburg on May 18 and participated in the siege,
with a loss of 20 men in killed and wounded. On the surrender
of Vicksburg the regiment was ordered to move against the Con-
federate Gen. Johnston, who retreated to Jackson Miss., and
during the siege of that place the loss of the regiment in
killed and wounded was 7 men. It was then ordered to Oak
Ridge, Miss., and while doing picket duty there had several
skirmishes with the guerrillas, 1 man being killed and 2 men
captured while on duty. On Feb. 5, 1864, the regiment left on
a scout and engaged the enemy at Wyatt, Miss., thus enabling
the cavalry to cross the Tallahatchie at New Albany. In June
it went out again and engaged the enemy at Guntown, in which
action it lost 205 in killed, wounded and missing out of 397
men. On July 13 the brigade to which the regiment was attached
was surprised by the enemy near Harrisburg, Miss., but after a
sharp engagement the Confederates were repulsed, the regiment
receiving the thanks of the brigade commander on the field for
the gallant and effective charge made by it. The regiment lost
40 men in killed and wounded. It was in the battle of Nash-
ville, made several charges during the engagement, and lost 15
men in killed and wounded. In March, 1865, it embarked for
Spanish Fort, Ala., and was engaged during the siege of that
place. The regiment was mustered out on Aug. 3, 1865.

     John Troxel was born on December 22, 1773 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland. He was the son of Georg Frederich Troxell and Apollonia Loy. John Troxel married Elizabeth Dollerer about 1800 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, . John Troxel died on September 17, 1857 at age 83. He was buried after September 17, 1857 at Apples Lutheran Reformed Church, Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland.

     Matilda Troxel was born on May 16, 1809 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland.³ She was the daughter of Frederick Troxell and Elizabeth Young.³ Matilda Troxel was baptized on July 1, 1809 at Apples Lutheran Reformed Church, Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland. She married, at age 19, Henry Hahn, son of John Adam Hahn and Catherine Ackerman, on Thursday, August 28, 1828 at Frederick County, Maryland, .² Matilda Troxel died on March 11, 1884 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 74.

     Abraham Troxell was born on January 12, 1816. He was the son of John Troxel and Elizabeth Dollerer. Abraham Troxell died on February 5, 1875 at age 59.

     Anna Maria Troxell was born on April 20, 1810. She was the daughter of John Troxel and Elizabeth Dollerer.

     Barbara Troxell was born on September 17, 1728 at Katzenthal, Haut-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. She was the daughter of Peter Trachsel and Anna Juliana Catharina Fraudhueger.

     Catherine Magdalena Troxell was born on April 4, 1776 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Georg Frederich Troxell and Apollonia Loy. Catherine Magdalena Troxell died on December 7, 1823 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, at age 47. She was buried after December 7, 1823 at Apples Lutheran Reformed Church, Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland.

     Christian Troxell was born about 1738/39 at Whitehall Township, Egypt, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Peter Trachsel and Anna Juliana Catharina Fraudhueger. Christian Troxell died on April 16, 1739 at Whitehall Township, Egypt, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

     David Troxell was born on September 27, 1805. He was the son of John Troxel and Elizabeth Dollerer. David Troxell died on July 16, 1886 at age 80.

     Frederick Troxell was born on November 13, 1807. He was the son of John Troxel and Elizabeth Dollerer. Frederick Troxell died on February 27, 1891 at age 83.

     Frederick Troxell was born in 1769. He was the son of Georg Frederich Troxell and Apollonia Loy. Frederick Troxell married Elizabeth Young on Thursday, May 7, 1801 at Frederick County, Maryland, .¹

     Georg Frederich Troxell was born on July 23, 1741 at Egypt, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Peter Trachsel and Anna Juliana Catharina Fraudhueger. Georg Frederich Troxell married Apollonia Loy, daughter of John George Loy and Maria Elizabeth Traut, about 1763 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, . Georg Frederich Troxell died on October 10, 1796 at Frederick County, Maryland, at age 55.
