James Wilkinson Daubenspeck married, at age 24, Phoebe Ellen West, age 18, daughter of Thomas West and Eliza Ann Rooker, on Tuesday, November 14, 1871 at Hamilton, Indiana, .5 James Wilkinson Daubenspeck died on January 31, 1923 at Indiana at age 75.4 He was buried on February 1, 1923 at Farley Cemetery, Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana.3

Johan Jacob Daubenspeck was born on July 27, 1715 at Freinsheim, Palatine, Germany.1,2 He was the son of Johan Georg Daubenspeck and Anna Dorthea Wylly. Johan Jacob Daubenspeck immigrated on September 1, 1736 to America.3 He signed an Oath of alligiance to the Province of Pennsylvania about 1737. He was a member of the Lutheran Reformed Church.2 He married Juliana (surname unknown) in 1739/40 at Pennsylvania . Johan Jacob Daubenspeck conducted a Land Transaction in 1746/47 for 197 acres and 131 perches of land at Heidelberg Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He began military service before 1777 in the Pennsylvania militia during the Revolutionary War.4 He died on August 7, 1777 at Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, at age 62 Possibly killed while serving in the Pennsylvania Militia. He was buried after August 7, 1777 at Heidelberg Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
Between the years 1735 and 1740 there came hither to Northampton county, Palatines who strengthened the Colony. the Lutherans provided themselves with a piece of land for Church and school purposes, adjoining the Reformed lands on the South. the organization of the congregation (including these two groups) took place in 1740. the place of assembling was at Jacob Daubenspeck's home, about one mile southwest of the church lands. There in his home Divine Services were held for a period of five years and then steps were taken to build the first church which was erected in the year 1744. It was a log building. The second church was built in 1756 and dedicated in 1757. the names of the heads of families who built the first and second churches, included Henrich Geiger and Jacob Daubenspeck.

John Daubenspeck was born on May 20, 1793 at Bourbon County, Kentucky. He was the son of Phillip Daubenspeck and Barbara Smelser. John Daubenspeck began military service on August 31, 1813 at Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky, in Captain Thomas Ravenscraft's Company of Colonel Mountjoy's 4th Kentucky Volunteer Regiment. The unit participated at the Battle of the Thames in which Chief Tecumseh was killed.2 He ended military service on November 13, 1813; on the Ohio River opposite Maysville, Kentucky. He was formally honorably discharged on May 27, 1815.2 He married Mary Jane York about 1815 . John Daubenspeck appeared on the census of 1820 at Fayette County, Indiana.3 He appeared on the census of 1830 at Fayette County, Indiana.4 He married, at age 57, Julia Anne Sutcliffe, age 33, daughter of John Sutcliffe and Mary Lomax, on Monday, February 10, 1851 at Fayette County, Indiana, .5 John Daubenspeck died on May 27, 1874 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 81.
