Magdalena Mochel was born circa August 1, 1840 at Buffalo, Erie County, New York, see note, below.1 She was the daughter of Michael Mochel and Magdalena Heimlich. Thereafter her married name was Boblenz. Magdalena Mochel married first Adolphus Christoph Boblenz, son of Johann Christian Boblenz and Christiene Wilhelmine Schribe, on March 3, 1859 at Richland Township, Cardington, Marion County, Ohio. Thereafter her married name was Kuehner. Magdalena Mochel married second Joseph C. Kuehner, son of Lucas Kuehner and Elizabeth Summer, on April 15, 1875 at Richland Township, Cardington, Marion County, Ohio. Magdalena Mochel died on April 24, 1904 at Richland Township, Marion County, Ohio, of cancer. She was buried at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery - Richland Township, Marion County, Ohio.
I am now pretty well convinced that Magdalena Mochel was born in Buffalo, New York. A rather large amount of evidence seems to support this, mainly from numerous citations in various federal censuses, both from her and from her children.
