     Teresa Elizabeth Rueppel was born on January 26, 1904 at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.^2,3 She married, at age 33, Bertran Hahn, age 47, son of James Ira Hahn and Nancy Jane Long, on Saturday, September 18, 1937 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, .² Teresa Elizabeth Rueppel died in February, 1973 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at age 69.³

     Alonzo M. Rush was born on October 29, 1834 at Rush County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Greenberry Rush and Elizabeth Daubenspeck. Alonzo M. Rush married, at age 31, Almira E. Moffett on Friday, November 3, 1865 at Rush County, Indiana, . Alonzo M. Rush died on March 3, 1909 at Union Twp., Rush County, Indiana, at age 74.¹ He was buried on March 6, 1909 at Fairview Cemetery, Rushville, Rush County, Indiana.¹

     Greenberry Rush was born on December 23, 1802 at Pendleton County, Kentucky. He began military service in 1824 at Rush County, Indiana, as a Captain in the 42nd Regiment of the Indiana Militia. He married, at age 22, Elizabeth Daubenspeck, age 17, daughter of Phillip Daubenspeck and Barbara Smelser, on Monday, March 7, 1825 at Rush County, Indiana, . Greenberry Rush worked between 1834 and 1835 as the Sheriff at Rush County, Indiana.¹ He worked before 1835 as a farmer and tax collector at Rush County, Indiana. He worked after August 6, 1849 as a State Representative.^2,3 Greenberry Rush won election to the Indiana House of Representatives from Rush County in the Indiana General Assembly. He was a member of the Whig-Republican Party. The 34th Session ran from December 3, 1849 to January 21, 1850. He died on February 9, 1862 at Rushville, Rush County, Indiana, at age 59. He was buried after February 9, 1862 at Fairview Cemetery, Rush County, Indiana.

One Hundred and Eleventh Infantry
INDIANA


Minute Men. -- Word being received at Indianapolis on the evening of July 8, 1863, that a force of 6,000 cavalry under Morgan had crossed the Ohio River near Mauckport and was moving on Corydon, a call was issued for citizens to organize for defense.
Within 48 hours 65,000 men had tendered their services. From this number regiments 102 to 114 inclusive, and one battalion were organized, the battalion being assigned to the 107th.

One Hundred and Eleventh Infantry. -- Col., Robert Conover,
Lieut.Col., James W. Robinson; Maj., Joseph Senior.

This regiment was organized at Indianapolis, July 13, 1863, being composed of eleven companies of minute men, of which Delaware County furnished four, Fayette County two (one of which was cavalry), Montgomery, Rush, Miami, Monroe and Hamilton each furnished one and the regiment aggregated 733
rank and file.

It was not called into the field and was mustered out July 15,
1863.¹

     Donetta Ruth Rust was born on March 10, 1934 at Howard County, Indiana.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of James Oren Rust and Maude Zimmerman.¹ Donetta Ruth Rust married, at age 20, floyd James Hall, age 28, son of William Hall and Elva Garland, on Friday, October 8, 1954 at Grant County, Indiana, .⁴ Donetta Ruth Rust married, at age 62, Joseph Albert Chaplin, age 64 on Friday, February 14, 1997 at Marion, Grant County, Indiana, .⁵ Donetta Ruth Rust died on March 2, 2009 at Grant County, Indiana, at age 74.³

     James Oren Rust was born on April 26, 1899 at Grant County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Jacob A. Rust and Carrie B. Curry.² James Oren Rust married, at age 21, Maude Zimmerman, age 16, daughter of William M. Zimmerman and Dora May Hahn, on Tuesday, July 6, 1920 at Wabash County, Indiana, .¹ James Oren Rust died on July 31, 1968 at Indianapolis, Indiana, at age 69.² He was buried on August 3, 1968 at Converse Cemetery, Converse, Miami County, Indiana.²

     Mildred Rust is the daughter of James Oren Rust and Maude Zimmerman.¹

     Rebecca Tamson Rutherford was born on December 25, 1856 at Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. She married John David Firsdon in 1874 . Rebecca Tamson Rutherford died on May 12, 1935 at Bowling Green, Wood County, Ohio, at age 78. She was buried on May 14, 1935 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ohio.

     Catherine Sawvel was born on December 10, 1817 at Harrison County, Ohio. She was the daughter of John Michael Sawvel and Sarah Warner. Catherine Sawvel married Joseph Grim before 1837 at Harrison County, Ohio, .

     John Adam Sawvel was born on May 3, 1761 at Pennsylvania. He began military service between 1776 and 1782 at Pennsylvania as a soldier in the Revolutionary War.¹ He married, at age 21, Anna Maria Catharina Shillingen on Tuesday, April 22, 1783 at Pennsylvania . John Adam Sawvel died in 1826 at Pennsylvania.¹
