Dorothea Skusa.
1 Gottlieb Libuda was baptized on January 1, 1825 at Dzialdowo, Prussia.

Friedrich Kÿkul and
Elisabeth Pawleski, on Sunday, October 10, 1852 at Niederhoff (Ksiezy Dwór), Prussia, .
1,2 Gottlieb Libuda died before 1890.
3 The birth record for Barbara Libuda states she was born in February 1852, yet the marriage record has her parents marriage at October 1852, 8 months after their child's birth. A possible explanation could be that the record(s) were put in the books after a passage of time, and the copyist placed the incorrect date at the top of the pages. A scenario in which Gottlieb and Maria were married in 1850 or 1851 is feasable, especially considering the social stigma of unwed mothers at the time.

Jeptha
Long was born on May 16, 1821 at Ohio.
1,2 (This story was written by Doris A. Smith, his great granddaughter in a senior essay in 1931. She gathered her information from Jeptha's son, James Long. Posted on Ancestry.com by Jane Small). The family tradition is that the reason Jeptha Long was enumerated in El Dorado, California for the 1850 Federal Census was that he and his brother, James, along with several other men, went to California for the Gold Rush to make their fortune. They rode horses from Wabash County, Indiana to St. Joe, Missouri where they joined the wagon train westward. They had moderate success in their quest for gold, but unfortunately, Jeptha's brother, James Long, was killed by desperados there when they stole his gold. Jeptha returned home to Indiana by way of the Isthmus of Panama, then up the Mississippi River to Illinois and then home. He fully intended to make a return trip west, but met and married Lavina Lutz in the interim.
