     Maude A. Doren was born on March 6, 1897 at Rossford, Wood County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Doren and Martha Brown.¹ Maude A. Doren married, at age 24, Edward C. LeBuda, age 26, son of Frederick LeBuda and Caroline Grosky, on Tuesday, February 21, 1922 at Toledo, Ohio, .² Maude A. Doren married, at age 42, Clare Rowley, age 54 on Tuesday, July 11, 1939 .¹ Maude A. Doren and Clare Rowley were divorced on September 20, 1945 at Wayne County, Michigan.³ Maude A. Doren died on October 18, 1959 at age 62.⁴

     Samuel Doren was born on March 9, 1872.² He was the son of John Doren.² Samuel Doren died on April 3, 1949 at Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, at age 77.²

     Lucille Doughman married Edward Fred Grosky, son of Adam Grosky and Bertha Hoffman, . Lucille Doughman was born about 1901 at Springfield, Clark County, Ohio. She died on January 28, 1954 at Dayton, Ohio. She was buried on February 1, 1954 at Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Clark County, Ohio.

     Lewis Doverspike was born about 1773 at Penn Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Daubenspeck and Barbara Geiger. Lewis Doverspike died before June 8, 1849 at Clarion County, Pennsylvania.

     Sarah Catherine Draper was born about 1857 at Ohio.² She married William Barnhart, age 27 on Thursday, February 22, 1877 at Miami County, Indiana, .^1,3 Sarah Catherine Draper and William Barnhart were divorced before 1900 at Indiana.⁴

     Dessie Pearl Duck was born on August 23, 1888 at Miami County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Henry Duck and Susan Catharine Daubenspeck. Dessie Pearl Duck worked in 1910 as a bookkeeper in a notion store. She married, at age 31, Fred Irving Davis, age 23, son of Byron Davis and Myrtle M. White, on Saturday, November 15, 1919 at Miami County, Indiana, .³ Dessie Pearl Duck died in January, 1972 at Redford, Wayne County, Michigan, at age 83.⁴

     Edythe Ethel Duck was born on September 16, 1882 at Miami County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Henry Duck and Susan Catharine Daubenspeck. Edythe Ethel Duck worked in 1910 as a bookkeeper in a basket factory at Amboy, Miami County, Indiana. She married, at age 30, Harrison Ray, age 21 on Wednesday, June 25, 1913 at Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Edythe Ethel Duck died in 1955 at Detroit, Michigan.² She was buried after 1955 at Section T, Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan.²

     George W. Duck was born on December 13, 1877 at Miami County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Henry Duck and Susan Catharine Daubenspeck. George W. Duck worked in 1910 as a laborer at odd jobs. He worked before July 14, 1936 on the B&O Railroad at Miami County, Indiana.¹ He died on July 14, 1936 at Wabash Railroad Hospital, Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 58.¹ He was buried on July 17, 1936 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami County, Indiana.¹ He evidently never married.

     Henry Duck was born on July 10, 1850 at Miami County, Indiana.^1,2 He married, at age 24, Susan Catharine Daubenspeck, age 22, daughter of John Daubenspeck and Julia Anne Sutcliffe, on Tuesday, December 29, 1874 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Henry Duck worked in 1900 as a stationary engineer at Miami County, Indiana.³ He lived in 1900 at 251 W. 6th St., Peru, Miami County, Indiana. He died on April 23, 1928 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 77.^2,4 He was buried on April 26, 1928 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami County, Indiana.² According to the 1900 census, both of Henry's parents were from Kansas. However the 1880 census says that his father was from Ohio and his mother was from Virginia. In 1880 Eliza Coan was staying with this family. Mary Duck does not appear on the 1900 census. Uncle Grover thought his name was "Joe Duck" (Joseph could have been his middle name).

     Lelia Belle Duck was born on July 20, 1885.^2,3 She was the daughter of Henry Duck and Susan Catharine Daubenspeck. Lelia Belle Duck married, at age 24, Marshall James Hadsell, age 44 on Wednesday, October 20, 1909 at Miami County, Indiana, . Lelia Belle Duck died on May 16, 1968 at Emily E. Flynn Home for the aged, Marion, Grant County, Indiana, at age 82.^4,2 She was buried on May 18, 1968 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami County, Indiana.⁴

Mother Susan Catherine (Daubenspeck) Duck is living with the family (age 77 and a widow). along with her daughter Maud Duck, age 53, never married. No children for Lelia and Marshall.

Myrtle Dell Duck worked before 1908 as a bookkeeper at a steam laundry at Peru, Miami County, Indiana. She married, at age 32, George Milton Gerhart, age 27 on Wednesday, June 10, 1908 at Mexico, Miami County, Indiana, .² Myrtle Dell Duck died on March 27, 1961 at San Diego, California, at age 84.¹

     John Dugan was born in 1809 at Belfast, Down, Ireland. He immigrated in 1818 to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Delilah Huff before 1837 . John Dugan died on November 17, 1892 at Grant County, Indiana.

     Sarah Jane Dugan was born in 1837 at Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of John Dugan and Mary Delilah Huff. Sarah Jane Dugan married William Endsley, age 23, son of John Endsley and Rachael Butler, on Thursday, February 4, 1864 at Grant County, Indiana, .¹ Sarah Jane Dugan died on February 1, 1916 at Grant County, Indiana.¹

Lindsey, Virginia           
Virginia E. Lindsey Crown Point Virginia E. Lindsey, age 92, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at the Chicagoland Christian Village. She is survived by one daughter, Vera (Gary) Gardina of Crown Point, where she made her home; one son, David (Dolores) Lindsey of Addison, IL; four grandchildren: Keith (Margaret) Gardina of Schererville, Dawn Gardina of Chicago, Scott Lindsey of Munster and Kristine Lindsey of Addison, IL; one great-grandson Zachary Gardina of Schererville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Cecil Lindsey in 1991, brothers Harrison Eads and Irving Eads and sister Maurine Hodge. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2004, 11 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Roehm officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends may meet with the family Monday, August 9th, from 4 to 8 PM at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one mile south of Rt 30) Schererville, IN. Virginia was an active member for many years at the First Christian Church of Hammond as an organist. She also played at Southlake Christian Church of Hammond and First Christian Church in Harvey, IL. She was a 50 plus member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Services Monday at 7 p.m.) Hammond Chapter 370 where she played the organ as needed. Over the years she worked a W.B. Conkey, Rand McNally and Youngstown Sheet and tube where she worked as a bookkeeper until retirement. She taught piano and organ for many years. She loved to play the piano for her own enjoyment and to crochet. She will be surely missed.
