Nettie Marie York, 89, Peru RR 5, died at 4:45 pm Sunday Jan 5, 1986, in Miller's Merry Manor in Peru.

She was born Jan 9, 1896, in Cass County, In, a daughter of Robert and Oma (Glassburn) Webb. Sept 1, 1913, She married Andrew T. York, who died April 17, 1983.

Surviving are 2 sons, John Walter York of Akron and Eldon York of Peru RR 5; 2 brothers Otho and Glenn Webb, both of Brooksville, Fla; 2 sisters Mary Murray and Margaret Shaffer, both of Ft Wayne; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren. 5 brothers and 3 sisters are deceased.

A homemaker, she had lived most of her life in Miami County and was a member of the Loree First Brethren Church.

Services will be at 11 am Wed. in the church. The Rev. Claude Stogsdill will officiate and burial will be in Sante Fe cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home in Bunker Hill and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wed.

     Barbara Weisenberger was born on February 26, 1868 at Miami County, Indiana. She was the daughter of George Weisenberger and Elizabeth Hahn. Barbara Weisenberger married, at age 18, Jesse Hartleroad, age 22, son of David Hartleroad and Laura J. York, on Monday, November 1, 1886 at Miami County, Indiana, . Barbara Weisenberger died on April 24, 1951 at age 83.

     Catherine Weisenberger was born on September 9, 1863. She was the daughter of George Weisenberger and Elizabeth Hahn.

     Dorothy Jean Weisenberger is the daughter of Richard Earl Weisenberger and Margaret Jean Wallace.

Edgar Lewis Weisenberger married, at age 22, Ruby Estella Kerns, age 17 on Sunday, January 28, 1912 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, . Edgar Lewis Weisenberger died on August 14, 1972 at Vero Beach, Indian River County, Florida, at age 82.

     Esther Estella Weisenberger was born on September 27, 1891 at Howard County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Weisenberger and Rachel Emma White. Esther Estella Weisenberger married, at age 21, Harry Hartman Brady, age 28 on Saturday, November 2, 1912 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Esther Estella Weisenberger died on November 1, 1916 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 25.²

     Esther Kerns Weisenberger was born on May 6, 1916 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Edgar Lewis Weisenberger and Ruby Estella Kerns. Esther Kerns Weisenberger died on July 3, 1985 at Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 69.

"Mrs. Ross McHenry received a telegram Sunday morning telling the sad news of the death of little Miss Helen Weisenberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weisenberger, of Detroit, Mich., whose death occurred on Saturday evening, October 18th. The little one was five years of age. The telegram stated that the funeral services would be held on Tuesday of this week. Mrs. Weisenberger was formerly Miss Ruby Kearns, of Denver, and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Kearns, who now live in Detroit."¹

Comer were divorced in 1914 at Indiana.¹ Laura Ethel Weisenberger married, at age 20, Edward G. Malorosky, age 21 on Saturday, September 19, 1914 at Ft. Wayne, Indiana, .¹ Laura Ethel Weisenberger and an unknown person were divorced on November 6, 1925 at Wayne County, Michigan.² She married, at age 31, Ezrnest Evans, age 36 on Saturday, November 7, 1925 at Lucas County, Ohio, .³ Laura Ethel Weisenberger died after January, 1957.⁴

"Plane Crash Adds Eleventh Casualty to Cadillac Honor Roll" "Cadet Lewis J. Weisenberger, TA - 18, Killed on Routine Training Flight"

"As America moves for a showdown with the Axis on far-flung battlefronts, the casualty list will inexorably grow. The price of victory is high, but never as high as defeat. Young Americans know that and are valiantly calling Hitler's trumps even though it means death. As the tide moves on, Cadillac sons move with it. The most recent addition to the Gold Star list at Cadillac is Lewis J. Weisenberger, TA-18, who was killed during a regular training flight, September 23rd at Camden, South Carolina. Weisenberger worked at Cadillac for a year and a half before entering the Army Air Force in January of this year. He was a tank driver in TA-18. At Wofford College, Spartanburg, South Carolina, Cadet Weisenberger completed the five months' course in two months and was sent to Maxwell Field Alabama. From Maxwell he went to Camden, South Carolina, where his plane crashed on routine flight. Cadet Weisenberger was home on leave for five days during August. While in Detroit, he married his childhood sweetheart, Miss Winifred Graham. Cadet Weisenberger's wife was living in Camden at the time of his death."
