     Sarah Endsley was born on November 1, 1805. She was the daughter of Abraham Endsley and Rachael Bell Prather.

     Sarah J. Endsley was born about 1847 at Wayne County, Indiana. She was the daughter of William Henry Endsley and Frances E. Shippen.

     Sidney Eliza Endsley was born on November 5, 1883 at Washington Township, Miami County, Indiana.^1,3 She was the daughter of William Endsley and Sarah Emeline Daubenspeck.^1,2,3 Sidney Eliza Endsley married, at age 18, Robert Franklin Black, age 25, son of David Harrison Black and Margaret Elvira Tarkington, on Saturday, October 11, 1902 at Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri, .⁴ Sidney Eliza Endsley died on June 14, 1905 at Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri, at age 21.

Not long after Sidney gave birth to Dollie she began to get ill. At first her vision began to weaken, later she lost muscular strength and suffered severe weight loss. By late spring 1905 she was gone.

During this time she wrote letters to her sister Pearl in Winamac, Indiana. Some of these letters are reproduced here.

     Susan J. Endsley was born about 1859 at Grant County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of John Endsley and Mary Ann Mahala Hedrick.¹

     Thomas Endsley was born in 1770. He was the son of Andrew Endsley and Jane Cummings.

     Viola Endsley was born on June 10, 1890 at Pulaski County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of William Endsley and Sarah Emeline Daubenspeck.¹ Viola Endsley married first Theodore John Rohman, son of Philip Rohman and Mary Rising, on September 11, 1907 at White Post Township, Pulaski County, Indiana.² Viola Endsley and Theodore John Rohman were divorced before August 2, 1916 at Indiana. Viola Endsley married second Clena Hahn, son of Henry Hahn and Rebecca Jane Hartleroad, on August 2, 1916 at Miami County, Indiana.^3,4 Viola Endsley died on August 19, 1975 at Ontario, California, at age 85. She was buried on August 21, 1975 at Bellview Cemetery, Ontario, California.

     William Endsley was born on June 16, 1842 at Jackson Township, Miami County, Indiana.^1,4,2,5,6 He was the son of Elihu Endsley and Sidney Parsons.^1,2,3 William Endsley married, at age 25, Samantha Elizabeth Gates, daughter of John Gates and Eliza Endsley, on Thursday, February 13, 1868 at Miami County, Indiana, .^7,5 William Endsley married, at age 34, Sarah Emeline Daubenspeck, age 22, daughter of John Daubenspeck and Julia Anne Sutcliffe, on Monday, December 25, 1876 at Miami County, Indiana, .^4,6,8 William Endsley died on September 5, 1902 at Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri, at age 60. He was buried on September 6, 1902 at Green Hill Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri.

It is with sorrow that we are called to announce that the silent reaper Death has again visited our vicinity.
On Friday, Sept. 5, Wm. Endsley departed this life between 12 and 1 o'clock p.m. He had been ailing for
several months but was not serious until a few days before his death, which was caused from congestion of
the stomach and bowels. He was 60 years, 2 months and 19 days old. Five children are left to combat with
life's battles without father or mother. Only in June last had Mrs. Sarah Endsley bid farewell to them. Both are now peacefully lying side by side in the Green Hill cemetery. Interment took place Saturday the 6th.

     William Endsley was born on June 26, 1840 at Indiana. He was the son of John Endsley and Rachael Butler. William Endsley began military service on October 22, 1862 as a Private in Co. "C" of the 54th Indiana Infantry.¹ He married, at age 23, Sarah Jane Dugan, daughter of John Dugan and Mary Delilah Huff, on Thursday, February 4, 1864 at Grant County, Indiana, .¹ William Endsley died on February 18, 1907 at Grant County, Indiana, at age 66.^2,1


This regiment was organized at Indianapolis in the fall of 1861 and was mustered in Dec. 14. It moved at once to Bardstown, Ky., and with Buell's army in Feb., 1862, towards Nashville, reaching the Tennessee River too late to participate in the battle of Shiloh....

     William H. Endsley was born on February 7, 1881 at Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Abel H. Endsley and Mary Jane Haines. William H. Endsley married, at age 23, Ella R. Foust on Saturday, September 17, 1904 . William H. Endsley worked in 1910 as a liveryman. He died on November 2, 1962 at Miami County, Indiana, at age 81.

     William Oscar Endsley was born on June 28, 1862 at Grant County, Indiana. He was the son of John Endsley and Mary Ann Mahala Hedrick. William Oscar Endsley died on April 22, 1918 at age 55.

     Zoe Gertrude Endsley was born in January, 1888 at Miami County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Abel H. Endsley and Mary Jane Haines. Zoe Gertrude Endsley married, at age 19, Harry Dee Wintrow, age 22 on Saturday, November 16, 1907 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, .

     Hannah Engle was born in 1840 at Ohio. She married Samuel A. Henderson before 1859 .²

     Alwine Erkins was born in July, 1845 at Germany. She married George Herwig before 1875 .¹ Alwine Erkins emigrated on June 23, 1881 from Bremen, Germany; aboard the Hermann.² She married Charles Gilgenberg, age 27, son of Antonius Gilgenberg and Christina Groener, on Monday, July 25, 1881 at St. Louis, Missouri, .³ Alwine Erkins died after 1930.

     Cyrenitia Ernsperger was born on October 9, 1849 at Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio.^1,2 She married, at age 18, Samuel Nafe on Sunday, January 26, 1868 at Fulton County, Indiana, .³ Cyrenitia Ernsperger married, at age 65, John Wesley Wilson, age 65, son of John Wilson and Ivy Graham, on Sunday, August 22, 1915 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, .¹ Cyrenitia Ernsperger died on September 14, 1936 at Peru, Miami County, Indiana, at age 86.²

     Adin Vance Estabrook was born on September 23, 1889 at Gordon, Nebraska.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph A. Estabrook and Amanda Brown Kincaid.¹ Adin Vance Estabrook worked on June 5, 1917 as a miner at Lowell, Cochise County, Arizona.² He began military service in 1918 He served in WW1.³ He married, at age 31, Rose Bengston on Wednesday, January 26, 1921 at El Paso, Texas, .^3,4 Adin Vance Estabrook worked in 1930 as a government trapper at Navajo County, Arizona.³ He was a Jehova's Witnesses preacher.^5,2 He died in March, 1980 at Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, at age 90.⁶

     Alonzo Flagg Estabrook was born about 1814 at Vermont.¹ He married Elizabeth Ann Sutcliffe, daughter of John Sutcliffe and Mary Lomax, on Sunday, October 13, 1844 at Fayette County, Indiana, .²

     Anna Mae Estabrook was born on October 20, 1887 at Nebraska.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph A. Estabrook and Amanda Brown Kincaid.¹

     James A. Estabrook was born in 1845 at Indiana.¹ He was the son of Alonzo Flagg Estabrook and Elizabeth Ann Sutcliffe.¹

     John W. Estabrook was born in November, 1849 at Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of Alonzo Flagg Estabrook and Elizabeth Ann Sutcliffe.¹

     Joseph A. Estabrook was born in May, 1856 at Indiana.¹ He was the son of Alonzo Flagg Estabrook and Elizabeth Ann Sutcliffe.¹ Joseph A. Estabrook married, at age 30, Amanda Brown Kincaid, age 28 on Thursday, January 13, 1887 at Valentine, Cherry County, Nebraska, .² Joseph A. Estabrook worked in 1900 as a County Surveyor at Valentine, Cherry County, Nebraska.²³ He died in 1945.⁴

     Ezrnest Evans was born on May 6, 1889 at Illinois.¹ He married, at age 36, Laura Ethel Weisenberger, age 31, daughter of Henry Weisenberger and Rachel Emma White, on Saturday, November 7, 1925 at Lucas County, Ohio, .¹

     Ashcah Esther Farley was born on April 14, 1826 at Virginia.¹ She married, at age 19, Jackson W. Daubenspeck, age 27, son of John Daubenspeck and Mary Jane York, on Thursday, March 12, 1846 at Hamilton County, Indiana, .^2,3 Ashcah Esther Farley died on March 12, 1888 at Hamilton County, Indiana, at age 61.¹

     David Morris Farmer was born on March 28, 1879 at Copiah County, Mississippi.^1,2,3 He married, at age 21, Mary Delilah Carpenter, age 22 on Thursday, January 24, 1901 .^1,4 David Morris Farmer died on February 8, 1952 at age 72.⁴
